Just took the 8 to Mazda to get a new window regulator/motor, tail assembly due to moisture, driver rear door doesnt open, and the heat shield. I took it in on Thursday and got a call on Friday saying that they had to order all of the parts and that they dont know when they will get them in or the time that it will take to install all of it. So for now I have a Mazda6 V6 and it rides pretty nice. It took them 2 weeks just to fix my AC so for all of this it may take 3-4 weeks.

 

at least you got a decent rental.

 

You're describing a very lame service department. They should be able to give you a reasonable estimate of when the work will be completed. Next time find another, more customer-oriented, dealership.

 

I can't myself being in that situation. 3-4 weeks would really freak me out. Some dealers need to ship parts & that's the factor that brings the delay.
