Ok guys... I have thought of a great idea that I really want to pursue.. but I need help from u electrical geniuses out there.

I am taking 1 of these http://www.rotarystuff.com/rx8rearbumper/index.html

and making that into my rotary brakelight... i think it will be unique because I have never seen this done. What i want to do is wire from one of the rear lights to that. What I need is the correct LEDs that I will need... the resistors I will need and so forth. It would also be quite nice if there was just a small little piece I could buy so that I could just wire to that and that would solve my lighting problems.

No... this will not look rice..i just hate the way the rotary symbol looks not covered ... cus then u get all these idiots asking u "hey.. why does ur car have 3 exhausts??".... and yeah.. the whole brakelight idea i think sounds fun.

except that one he's looking at is a cf insert. no light will come through.

 

i have that CF piece...
you will not be able to pass any light through that. i'm not sure exactly what you're trying to do... you should just get yourself the 3rd brake light from derwankel... looks great!
btw, that piece of carbon fiber sits sooo far deep behind the rear rotor crest that u can barely even see it...
