How many miles do you recommend running the RX with dino oil before switching to synthetic? I want to make sure the engine is good and broken in.

Any time after that is fine. Synthetic oil lubricates so well that it hinders breakin and you pretty much get that taken care of pretty early. The first 20 miles are the most critical but after about 1000 or so, you are pretty much done. If you are worried about it, wait a little longer. Thanks, my searches didn't turn up much readily found info on this. I have over 2k on the car now, but wanted to break the car in really well in a "grasping at straws" hope of better gas mileage. Thanks again. |
