While removing the wheels to install the black RX* Wheel Center Caps, I noticed that the wheel hub that is covered by the center cap is really rusting. I sprayed on some rust protectant (covering the brake rotors). The inside of the wheel was already coated with rust.
Here is a pic of the Center Caps, I forgot to take a pic of the rust issue.

That's normal - it's just untreated cast iron. It will have a surface rust, but not a full-on metal eaten away rust.

I've been looking through the threads and reviewed the brake caliper suggestions with G2. Seems like a good idea. Has anyone ever painted the hubs also?
You can see the rust if you look at the rims. I've got a yellow RX8 that I'm thinking of putting yellow G2 on the calipers and hubs. Aside from aesthetics, any downsides to this?

i painted my calipers with yellow g2 looks great. sorry no camera to take pics. but it was really easy to do but you have to wait 24 hrs before driving. so it was difficult to be without a car for a day but it came out great!
