Had a Titanium RX-8 pass me in Earth City this evening. First one I have seen out on the roads here in St. Louis.
We both noticed each other and beeped a little "congrats-on-the-new-ride" beep of the horns. It was kinda cool.
I was wondering if it was anybody on the forum.
jonalan......was that you?

When I picked mine up in St. Louis on Monday - I was leaving the dealership and I saw a black RX-8 pass me.

That was me! Nice to "meet" you, 91vert. You are the first owner I've seen on the road. I did see a black 8 with dealer plates a couple of weeks ago, but that doesn't count.
Nice car, nice color! Do you, or will you be getting the clear side markers? We passed so quickly, I didn't notice. I got mine in about 2 days and it took all of 5 minutes to put on. Makes a HUGE difference. Strakes are next (once the price comes down a bit).

Hey myrx8, did you come all the way to St Louis just to buy the car? That must have been a fun ride home! Were your cheeks sore from grinning all the way back to Kansas? :D

The drive from St. Louis to KC was somewhat boring - I left about 7:30 pm - A LOT OF ROAD CONSTRUCTION ON I-70.
One good thing, I was passing a Corvette and he then got on my tail - punched it to 105 and he stayed with me - punched it to 115 and he gave up.
That was fun.

Sounds like Titanium is the color of choice in St. Louis. I took delivery of my Titanium 6 MT Touring package last night! It brings back memories of my 2nd gen RX-7, only it is much more responsive and significantly faster.
Nothing but compliments everywhere I go.
