View Full Version : Greddy Turbo Air Pump Diode HELP VarneyMazda 04-18-2006, 12:24 PM Is there any other type of diode that i can use in my greddy turbo kit to keep the air pump from always running, ive found 1n4005's at my local radioshack but no 1n4007's will these work? dsmdriver 04-18-2006, 01:50 PM The only difference between a 5 and a 7 is the breakdown voltage- the 5 is 600V, the 7 is 1000V. I don't know exactly how it's used in the Greddy setup, but chances are very, very good that the 1n4005 will work fine. Slick8 04-23-2006, 09:22 AM yeah, I have the radioshack 1n4005 hooked-up and they're more than adequate, they're rated at 600v as opposed to 1n4007 at 1000v. They're exactly the same except the voltage. You'll never come close to 600v for this. |
