A/C cutoff.

I haven't bought a new car since 1991, so bear with me. Does the RX-8 come with an automatic A/C cutoff that momentarily disconnects the A/C compressor when accelerating?

I remember installing such a device on my RX-7 20 years ago. They really help eliminate the parasitic drag of the A/C compressor when accelerating, but has little affect on cooling. A quick search on Yahoo doesn't get me any hits about such a device.

 

Do a search here and you'll find plenty. Mostly complaints...
