Moderate Performance Boost
Moderate Performance Boost
I got a 2005 manual GT, i'm just looking for a way to moderately increase (20-30)my horsepower/ lowend torque similar to the Audi superchip without installing a 3000$ Greddy turbokit..is this possible? if so will it void my warranty?
Thanks!
Thanks!

there have been plenty of threads on this subject
the usual intake/exhaust/header combo won't do much, and the little it does is usually in the upper rpm ranges..

Without FI, you won't be able to increase your lowend torque much at all. A tuned NA would probably be able to gain that 20-30hp you are looking for, but it will all be in your mid-high range rpm. Bite the bullet and go FI.
Air intake, hi-flow cat, and canzoomer piggy back ECU would give you the best chance at 20-30 whp, but tq will only be mildly improved (not 20-30 lb.-ft.). Otherwise go FI. Also piggyback ECU would void warranty, that is why a lot of the people take them out before they go in for service.

Interestingly, you really cant get 30 ft-lbs for less than what it would cost to get a greddy kit. Go FI.
