Are they any tracks in the PA/NY/NJ area that you can open up the 8?

I am new to the RX 8 world and I love to take my 8 to the limits, does anyone know of any tracks in the Pocono, PA area where they have a closed track day? Is there a group in the Poconos that gets together for drives?

I catch my self having a bit too much fun on the highway and it is way to dangerous.

Thanks RaceGirl

I'm from around that area and have been looking for something like this as well...

i know of two driving schools that let you use your own car on the roadcourse at Pocono Raceway but I don't know if they are any good. -shrug-

you could also look for some SCCA auto-x events in the area, but there doesn't seem to be any local ones (well i'm more in the lehigh valley area)

Thanks r0tor! I will look into these websites. I love 5 min from Pocono Raceway and have driven the stock car experience 3 times, it was amazing but I want to try it with a street car. Totally different feel

Check out www.opentrackaction.com There are other clubs who run at Pocono as well as tracks within 4 hours of you. LimeRock, Watkins Glen and Summit Point for example. Many clubs, lots of options. Come on out!

PDA only runs the " Big course " once a year by the way. To be honest the big track gets boring fast, Watkins Glen is the best track in the east to run your 8 on.
