How did u put them on? I've consider this before but got nowhere... BigOLundh 02-22-2006, 08:11 PM i like it SiLVeRE8 02-22-2006, 08:15 PM damn this looks hot!! it matches with the rotary emblem. good job! Whitehot 02-22-2006, 08:16 PM Thats pretty cool, something I thought about doing myself. :icon_tup: NoTears316 02-22-2006, 08:52 PM Looks good, pretty unique. RX-Aight 02-23-2006, 07:17 AM Looks good for a custom one-offer rx8wannahave 02-23-2006, 08:01 AM OK...you have to build more and sell them, become a vender please! I've thought about this many times but with the way your's look...I'd rather buy some from you. Nice! Umbra 02-23-2006, 08:11 AM you missed the spot inside the rotor, otherwise looks nice especially if it's real and doesn't block air like the fake stock one Nemesis8 02-23-2006, 08:19 AM Did you cut out the plastic fake bumper grill first? NgoRX8 02-23-2006, 11:36 AM Doesn't looks like he cut out the grille. I've seen these done with just the mesh over the plastic. It could be just my eyes though. StealthTL 02-23-2006, 12:19 PM Phony plastic grille = ricey. Phony metal grille over stock ricey plastic grille = ricier! S nardo 02-23-2006, 04:39 PM Guys, It seems that people are seeing that the grille gives the impression that the rear end is lower to the ground which is the effect I was hoping to achieve. I don't know why Mazda started the paint so high in the rear. This grill gives the rear a more aggressive look to cars approaching from behind. Believe me, I am noticing more looks while I am driving. I am using galvanized steel and coating it with chrome to match the center rotor symbol. If people are interested, let me know and I will try to figure a way to make some and sell them. They are time consuming but if enough people are interested, I will find a way to make them. Any comments or questions? s13lover 02-23-2006, 07:00 PM I think it looks great (at least from the distance in the pic). otrovago 02-23-2006, 07:45 PM are they screwed in? yiksing 02-23-2006, 08:09 PM Looks good, I'm gonna start drilling mine out. dazygirl415 02-25-2006, 08:26 PM OK...you have to build more and sell them, become a vender please! I've thought about this many times but with the way your's look...I'd rather buy some from you. Nice! ^^ Ditto!! Looks great! nardo 02-26-2006, 12:21 PM Here is a before and after shot. Willie27 02-26-2006, 12:27 PM The grille looks great!! Let me know if you start selling them, I will definitely be interested. Was it an easy process of making them? daisuke 02-26-2006, 12:31 PM looks good, I think a shot of it with more light would be better though. I think it looks pretty classy from what I can see there, for some reason it makes me think of the front grill on the range rover sport. otrovago 02-26-2006, 08:16 PM can you get a closeup picture? |
