I just put in Phillips 6000K bulbs and man these babies look purple comapred to 4300K. I like it for now, but I guess I will have to see how long i will leave them in.

those are my second favorite bulbs next to the PIAA super cobalts.

i'm looking for a more "blue" than purple, should i go with 8000K?

I think it would be just a darker version of purple/blue with less light than mine.

i thought the higher you go on the scale the purpler...

as far as i know.. all the 6K bubs.. i have seen are blue.. and all the 12K ones are purple.. personally id like a 5500 a crystal white.. with a tint of blue!
