Thought potential buyers may be interested...

The deal is exclusive to Canada right now. $2000 worth of MAZDASPEED performance accessories with the purchase of an RX-8.

Personally, I'd throw in some additional money, try to get a deal on the labour and opt for a bunch of stuff: Down springs, exhaust, lightened flywheel, front strut bar, brake pads.

Doh! I guess I have to get ANOTHER 8 to get in on this. Too bad they don't have Lightning Yellow anymore.

I'd rather take the cash in hand, thanks. However, a nice gesture from Mazda, all things being equal.

It is just a incentive program that Mazda Canada offers for this month. You can either use the $2000 as a rebate or as a MazdaSpeed accessories credit. My store, AGINCOURT Mazda already have ordered a bunch of MazdaSpeed parts in stock. Even tho they are kinda pricey, but I can offer 25% on all MazdaSpeed parts.

Got any pics of your car with those wheels on it? Staggered widths are always nice to look at. Black finish looks menacing. Nice choices.

Thanks Eccentric... the wheels are in my storage room... no point of having dem on the car right now... and I just put on the Speed Kit, but I'll post some pics when I got the wheels back on!

Im so upset. I just bought my car 2 weeks ago and the dealership did not even mention the $2000 worth of accessories. I think I got screwed. Plus they did not want to throw in floor mats... So i had to buy my own!

What should I do! Im really mad! I spent a lot on this car!

GO back to the dealership and inquire about this program then.. angel.

FYI: this program expires end of Feb. (as told by my dealership).

To bad the ms parts are soo over priced in canada. you're better of just taking the money and buy it from the states.

I called the dealership and everyone said I had to speak with my sales person. I called him yesterday and today and he never returned my call. Finally today i got a hold of him! He said I dont get the 2000 because it already came off the price of my car????

You would think they would tell me that when I bought it? So here I thought I was negotiating the price lower and really they were taking off a rebate. That was not nice at all!

The rebate is for purchase of Mazdaspeed accessories....ask them where you got that......show them your car...and see if they think it has Mazdaspeed accessories. :(

Starlight Angel... when exactly did you pick up ur delivery? @ which store? It depends on when they register ur vehicle in order for u to get the MazdaSpeed acc, $$.

The Mazdaspeed accessories rebate can also applied as real $$ towards the price of the car...

Do you mean special winter mats, or just the regular carpeted RX-8 mats?

The carpeted RX-8 mats come in the car from the factory.
(I actually went with my dealership to pick up my car at the Autoport (mine was the first delivered in Atlantic Canada) and the mats were wrapped in plastic and sitting in each footwell when the car came off the tain, so I know they didn't throw them in.)
In fact, one of the earliest "Service Bulletins" for the car was replacement drivers side floor mats because the retaining hook and loop didn't line up properly.

If they charged you for stock mats, I'd be pretty upset.

Incentive is now upto $2500!
It was $2000 in Jan.. now $2500.

IMO, the '06 are about to come soon enough (march/april) and Mazda Canada wants to get rid of the '05 asap!

I guess I would get a good deal when I go on my hunt end of the month.!

The "ready to roll" line in the 2005 RX8 brochure says that every Mazda is delivered with a full tank and floor mats. (Under the accessories, colours and warranty section) and in the interior features section floor mats are standard.

Hey everyone,

I got the carpet mats with the car. I just really wanted them to throw in the rubber mats. Once you spend that much money you would think a fuss would not be made about 80 dollars!

The car was 38,900 but it was on special offer for 33,800. The dealership is trying to say the 2000 was included in that.. However I think that 5000 they knocked off was the clearance price for 2005's!

Angel,

that price of 33,800 sounds really good. I think the rebate got included in it already... I am looking at a few 8's here in TO and the price I am getting right now is around the same mark...

The 2500 discount was because of the MS 8 is going to be coming in US and Canada within this year. Source from Avanta Mazda.

Price roughly 5000 extra on top of the GT model.

Hope this helps!

God if I would have the money to buy another 8, I will go for the 35th anniversary 350z with 300 HP.

I got an AT 8 is slow but happy to drive it, with 300 HP Z I will buy MT this time.

MS8 this year?

Lot of dealers will say that.. I had one dealer who gave me his word that the speed 8 will be out fall 2005. Well, it never came out. The dealer ended up taking a GT rx8 and putting the KIT on himself to make it a speed 8.

I will believe it when I see it.. I am buying my GT8 real soon.. so I hope the speed8 does not come anytime soon otherwise i will kick myself left and right...

Huh?

You both say dealers are giving away new '05 GT's for $33800 Canadian? Thats nearly $7000 off MSRP, way WAY below cost.

You guys sure?

Redshift

I've seen some leftover 04s going for that in 05, so I'd believe that price.
All part of the reason why re-sale values for this car are in the toilet. They are dirt-cheap used.

Reminds me, to stop being an early-adopter.
Any other pre-order put down a deposit and paid full list with no negotiation people in the room? Raise your hands.

Redshift, I got $3500 off my '05 GT, plus 1.9% financing (4years) back in Sept and I consider myself a master negotiater...I guess not if people are getting $7000 off.

But I'd bet thats not happening, unless its a demo or in the case of a recent RX8 shipment that I know of that has hail damage (though they were only taking $1000 off; many had half a dozen dings on 'em). I bet Starlight Angel was referring to new GS's going for $33800.

I don't agree with your resale comment, since many '04 were on the road in '03, so they are three years old now. If you compare other makes you won't see better resales % wise. I saw a 350Z the other day for 22!

Redshift

You do have a point, I suppose. It is 3 years old now. I was a little bit spoiled by the Civic SiR I traded for my RX-8 ($23K new, and I sold it 4 years and 80,000km later for $17K).

But, I've seen used GTs locally with an asking price of $28K.

I tried to sell mine a year ago for $32K and didn't get any interest. Mostly because brand-new, 04 leftovers (not demo's, just the rural dealers not being able to move the cars) was asking $33K for them.

Either way, I'm still done being an early adopter. :)

The car was reduced 5000 to 33,800 but its a GS guys! I ended up getting it for 32000 plus taxes after the negotiating.

Thanks for all the comments. I feel a bit better now. The sales person said he is now going to throw in the rubber mats for me if I bring back the survey filled out.
Interesting!

Thats a great deal Starlight Angel on a GS, nearly 5000 off, never heard better! Can I bring you along next time I negotiate ...maybe its a girl thing.

By the way, the "bring in your survey" thing is cheating on theirpart. I wonder what they do with crappy surveys...right in the garbage and Mazda Canada doesn't see it!
