I am new to this forum and before i pose my question i'd just like to say how friendly and intelligent this site is compared to so many other car sites.
ok, enough small talk. I have seen pics of a yellow RX8 (road and track) and a red RX8 (which is in mazdas screen saver) the interiors are vastly different with the red car appearing to have a nav system, some sort of heads up display, and a tac that goes up to 12 (watch the screen saver closely as i do several hours a day) also, the yellow car has a hood bulge whereas the red car has slits cut into the hood. which is the real RX8?????

The red was the first prototype, the yellow--second prototype. There is no production images that we know of.

Yea but that's an Automatic version.

The manual has still not been seen :(

Are we 100% sure that silver car is an automatic just because it has the 16" wheels? Mazda may offer a base car with all-season 16's and a 5-speed, especially for those less sport-oriented in climates that get lots of rain & snow.
