There's a little bit of rust on the outside of the brake discs, is it alright to sand it off?

Is the rust on the discs face or on the edge?

Its on the face, hear the center.. so from a distance you can't really see it, but from a top view you can.

I have the same on mine. I really don't see a problem with sanding it but, all you'll be doing is exposing the bare metal once again. And it will rust over again. I think I'm gonna sand it off and paint it with some high temp paint. That should cure the prob. And since I'll already have the wheels off I might as well paint the brake calipers.

I have a brand new box of caliper paint (red), bought it for $33 with shipping, I'll sell it $26 shipped, its not opened.
