I was curious to see if anyone knew who makes this carbon fiber hood and if its common to have the cones on the underside as structural support. From the picture it looks as if it doesn't even have the latch for the hood, but i could be wrong. Just curious if anyone had an idea of what brand it was so i could get an idea of the quality. Thanks in advance.

EfiniRX8, I believe it is either the Seibon or Carbon Creations hood.

looks exactly like my hood......tc sportline oem style.....check my cardomain to be sure

mine didnt come with a hood latch either

the cones are not there for structural support purposes or anything......

looks like any other oem style rx8 hood..

reminds me of the first carbon fiber oem hood that came out..i think rx8store.net sold it..or maybe it was vividracing.com...i forget

my cf hood looks like that underneath. it's made by VIS but it has a VIS badge next to the hood latch so i'm not sure it that pic is the same.

kinda like putting a picture of a bone stock rx8 and asking us who's it is...haha

Thanks everyone for all their explanation on the hood, the reason why i asked this question was it was selling on ebay for a pretty cheap price. Was going to buy it until they emailed me back telling me shipping was going to cost 300 dollars :eek:

I was thinking when I saw the pic: "I think Ebay makes that one and shipping is real cheap, I wonder why no one has bid on it?"
