Just got my 8 a few days ago, and I went to remove myself from the moving carmax ad category of driver and take off the lisence plate covers they gave me. When I was taking the front one out I noticed certain parts of the front grille were cracked at the joints (like where two segments of it met in the cross pattern) is this normal? Are there multiple pieces of the front grille and I'm out of the loop or something? Thanks.

 

i have not noticed any cracking on mine.take it back to the dealership

 

Do you mean those square pieces in both top corners of the center grille? Those are pop-out covers for the towing hook bolt holes - yes, that's very normal to have
