Hate to even post another CEL issue but here goes. My CEL came on about 20 miles ago. I got the car home figuring on taking it to the dealer on Monday. I went out to start the car this morning and it won't start. Turns over great , just won't start. The car ran great after the light came on and went the 20 miles to get home. I'm towing it to the dealer on Monday now. Any thoughts as to what they may suggest?

 

The not starting, I may have figured out. Last night after dinner I went out to check the gas cap thing. I started the car, the light was still on, I shut it off. From reading on this site, I may be experiencing my first flood. Lucky me. The dealer suggested trying the flood proceedure first. I have done this, but don't think I had enough battery. It is on the charger now and I will try again later.

 

Yeah, charge the battery and keep trying the de-flood procedure. It will eventually work. Think positive.

The CEL may be nothing more than an improperly installed or faulty gas cap. The dealer can pull the code(s).
