My dealership wanted to drill two holes in my front bumper to attach the front license plate. Thank God I was there to stop them!

Looking at the license plate bracket that came with the car, it seems that it actually attaches to the grill. The bracket fits very nicely into the openings of the grill, and it even looks like there are tick marks where the holes should be drilled.

Can someone (who has their front plate attached) please confirm that it is screwed onto the grill?

I'm going to leave the plate off as long as I can get away with it. But, if I need to attach it, I want to be sure I'm doing it correctly.

Mine is attached to the grille.

Dude, your dealer must be crack or something if he is trying to drill the front bumpers to install the lincense plate. The car comes with a braket to attached to the Grill not the bumper!

You might want to have second thought when bring back your RX8 for regular services :p
