Anyone know of a reputable company selling alcantara seat covers for the RX8. I did a search and come up with squat.

The company that makes Alcantara is called Toray and the division is Toray Ultrasuede America, Inc., Automotive Division.

They came to give us a demonstration of their products here at the Toyota Technical Center in Ann Arbor, MI. I met a couple of them. Cosimo Carfagna is the Senior Manager of Technical Marketing. Are you talking about slip on covers, over the existing ones, or full covers that replace the cloth or leather that we currently have? One consideration is avoiding covering the side impact airbag, mounted in the outside of the seat.

you can have them custom made by an upholstery shop, it will look a million times better than slip on covers and it's not too expensive. i think custom leather runs about $1000, so I'd expect alcantara to be about the same.

...im definately going to go that route some day soon..probably after im done with my motor.
