I just installed my RB Revi intake & ram air duct last Saturday, and refilled my gas yesterday...
I got 13.7 mpg!!! This is the lowest mileage I've ever had, even lower than my first tank of gas (15.5 mpg). Before I usually got 18-19.
I thought the Revi was supposed to increase your mileage! But alas, I forgot to consider that it also increases the weight of my right foot. :ylsuper:
First impressions of it are:
1. Small but noticeable improvement in acceleration over 50 mph.
2. Sound is noticeably deeper and louder when gas is floored, in a satisfying powerful sounding way.
3. Decreased mileage :)
4. Increased tendency to hit speeds over 80 mph to feel the ram effect
5. Increased fun :)
I have heard that the idling would be smoother, but it feels the same to me.
One minor gripe, I kind of miss the unadulterated sound of the rotary engine. The new roaring in the airbox drowns out some of the original "chainsaw" sound.
All in all, I love the Revi and would recommend it to any 8 owner!
