1. Does the aftermarket amplifier have power
2. Are there any warning leds illuminated
3. Use an ohm meter and measure the resistance of the sub.
4. Connect a 9v battery to the sub and make sure it thumps.
5. Make sure the gains on the LOC and the amp are turned up.

Also, I would recommend connecting the LOC before the bose amp instead of after it. This won't make the amp not play, but it should sound better since your not putting the signal through the Bose dsp.

alright thx for responding. Here is my problem

My amp turns on and Yes I can hear a thump when I connect the 9v. I am using Scosche SLC4. My amp works the LED power light comes on. I ground my LOC to the battery I connected the left rear speaker and then to input A7 and A8 which are - and +. the I connect to the rca to amp. Still no sound . Also, I have stock radion no bose.

I think that's the same LOC I was using in my last car. Kinda transluscent blue plastic? I never grounded mine and it worked fine - maybe try un-grounding it.

i have the SLC4 and one thing you might wanna check out is to make sure gain level on the LOC is up. its set to low when it comes out of the box.
