does that mean its 2 15mm spacers and theyre the DRMs so i wouldnt need to switch out for longer studs? its just a bolt on?!

it also says the lowest offset is 35 for the rx8...... ?! so 15mm is the furthest i can go? no way..... i've seen 8s on this forum go out from stock 25mm......

And you are using the 20mms.... on stock wheels? no problems right?

 

Fujita Engineering (FEED) has a spacer kit for the RX-8 for the stock wheels... +18mm front and +23mm rear spacers... The cost however is ¥41,790 or about $373.00 at the current yen rate.

I got spacers Studded and hubcentric for the RX8 from Japan. It is the PROJECT KICS Spacer that all the D1 drivers have been using. Imported by Mackin the VOlk importers. Very good product. We use them on our cars.

What size spacer did you need?

Anyways.... i've looked into the project kics before... but i was told that they wont fit on the rx8 because the oem studs are too long for project kics 10 or 15mm spacers since the oem studs will stick out past the spacer?

hi can some1 give me some advice? ive got 18 x 7.5 luftdrag rims with an offset of 42 n would like to purchase the above kit but dont kno wat lengths i shd get. im thinkin of gettin coilovers so wouldnt want my tyres to rub but i like the look of rims with an offset of 35. pl help...

 

a 10mm front and 15mm rear like the guy above your would work well. That would give you out about 12mm on the front from the stock wheel size and +17mm out on the rear from stock. That should fit without any problems... If you like the look of a 35mm offset then you would just use 7mm spacers on both rims. That will give you a +9mm out from the stock wheel size. Since you already have the wheels on your car you can also just measure how much room you have left to go out without any interferance and buy that size as well...

 

Yo what's up Vince. Ya I remember you. This all depends on whether or not the wheel you are using has a cavity in the "mating pad" to suck up that extra stud that sticks thru the spacer. That's inevitable if you don't have a 25mm spacer. Typically the studs are 25mm.

High end wheels like Volk, Work, Racing Hart, AME, etc... have a cavity behind the wheel allowing for you to use even like 10mm studded spacers.

Just one word of advice, do not purchase thinner wheels than ones recommended by factory. Especially on the RX8. I would honestly have you save your money on spacers and purchase proper wheels for this vehicle. They even make cheap wide wheels now.

I know the wheel fitment in and out on the RX8 now that I got one, even with varying alignment settings so I'm more than willing to help consult or walk anyone thru their offset/front or backspacing concerns. Or even the pros or cons to the setup you "think" you might want to get.

I kinda don't like to offer solutions to things I may not tend to agree with. So usually I always ask the question: "Why?" first. Then if it makes sense i'm allllll for helping you acheive your objective. But i definitely would never advocate leading you in the wrong direction.

I am running on 18x8 Work 3 piece VS-SS offset 45 on all 4 corners right now.... so the rear wheels really look caved into the fenders right now...

Yes there is a cavity in the back of my wheels... and i believe they are 6mm deep.

with the 45 offset wheels now i am currently 5mm out from stock front and rear.... i want to end up somewhere with the rear out 20mm from stock and the fronts 10-15 out from stock....

i just want the wheels to be closest to flush with the fenders....


any help you can offer me would be great rish. I've always been eyeing the project kics but i always thought they wouldnt fit because the cavity of my wheels are only 6mm.....
