During the week we received the call from the dealer advising our 5 month wait was finally over. Today we received our Silver RX8.

City Mazda told us that we were the third RX8 to be delivered. For me it was my first drive as my father (and joint owner) had attended the track day session. A short drive around town has begun to confim everything thats been written about the car ... its fantastic!

The hard part will be to endure the 5-6000 rpm rev limit while we are running the car in. I can't wait to set the rev limiter off.

Unfortunately it was a bit dark in the dealer, so the photos arent great, but the car has certainly been worth the wait.

Congrats... that's fantastic... hopefully joining the club soon...

Also... what is the recommended run-in period ?

First service is between 1000 to 1500km and they will change the oil for free.
