I cannot get the middle manifold bolt on the bottom and 2 out of the 3 connected to the engine off!! I've tried several things, and each time no pregress. Any suggestions??

pb blaster, a 6 sided socket, and lots of torque :)

yea and a leverage bar ( a piece of pipe that is longer than the wrench handle but will slide on the wrench handle to get you a longer handle thus more leverage). Do this and gently "pump" till the bolt breaks free. Should work fine, had to do it on mine too.

I feel your pain, but I have nothing to suggest. I was surprsied at how loose my manifold bolts were. I remember thinking that maybe they were loose when cool and tight when hot. Good luck brotha.

yea I have been using a steel bar for torque. I'll PB blast the hell out of em next time, i just didnt think to do it b/c i didnt suspect they would have rusted considering the car is not old. Anyhow, I will be victorious!!

age isnt really the problem with the header bolts, it is the extreme temperature changes that they go through which is really causing all the problems.

Hmmm maybe there some pressure on it.. Do you still have the engine jacked up?
Try adjusting the the jack.

Should not be pressure cause the manifold is only connected to the engine now. Sometimes the weight of the manifold makes the bolts hard to get off though. You just have to keep trying. Good luck man!
