Do the U.S. RX-8' s have the mount points on the hood and frame for the hood struts? This photo of a euro model has it. Is this standard for all Euro RX-8's?

The RX-8's hood is very lightweight, and the struts would have no problem holding it up. I've got 4 small holes along each side edge, but they aren't in the right place to correspond to the pic. I think my holes may be for vent...they are about the size and shape of the hole you put the hood rod in.
