Why hype your 2006 models when you still need to move your 2005 stock?

To do otherwise would be a poor waste of marketing resources and would lead to stagnation in the market for the current 2005 models sitting in dealer lots around the world.

Like Abbid says, they're not. There are only minor changes apparently, so why would they want to hype that. Especially when they are attempting to generate excitement about the newly-redisigned MX-5 that is just now hitting the showrooms.

i understand all that its just that if we were able to get a little information about the 06 and its almost the end of the year there are alot of other cars that are already out for the 06 and if the 06 is coming out in OCT. or NOV shouldnt the dealer get more information about it? so that the dealer can sell the 05 cheaper.

Why would the dealership tell you about a better AT version of the RX8? They know youll hold out and buy the newer one with more HP and a better tranny. They'd rather 'not know' and sell what they have on hand, before they have to let it go for far less than what its worth.

The dealer doesnt want to sell teh 05 for cheaper, they want to sell it for whatever they can get for it, not have to drop the price a few thousand to get it off the lot.

My local dealer still has a brand new yellow 8 sitting on the lot, so what's that telling you... :)
