After a day long search on Saturday, I bought a Yellow RX-8 with Sport Package at The Village in Denton. For the rest of you in the Dallas area, here is what I learned this weekend at the following dealerships:

Town North Mazda - Had a black GT fully loaded with nav in the showroom, not sure what was out back as I didn't get to talk to anyone. Selling $1500 over MSRP.
Freeman Mazda - Had a Titanium Sport automatic (sold) and a black GT being prepped. Selling at MSRP. Talked to Kellei who showed me a list of at least 5 RX-8s due to arrive in the next few weeks. They were not giving test drives unless you pre-qualified for the car and had already worked out payments, etc. I thought this was a bit much.
El Dorado Mazda - Had 3 on the lot, all sold. Talked to David who showed me what was coming and took down my name to call me when the next shipment arrived. Also selling at MSRP.
The Village in Denton (Lincoln/Mercury/Mazda) - Had 5 when I called, 4 when I got there. I test drove my future car and decided to buy. They were selling at $3000 over MSRP  but I was able to negotiate down to sticker.

I had a hard time finding a car because I did not want leather and almost everything in town has the GT package. If you want one fully loaded, I don't think you'll have trouble. But if you are looking for just a manual tranny with sport package you should definitely call first. I got the impression that stock would be limited for the next few months as most places were only getting 5-8 new RX-8s through August.
