removing those blank dash buttons?

removing those blank dash buttons?

the buttons beside the DSC and dimmer, the blank ones.. where do u pry to remove one of those? Id like to install a bass control **** there but i dont want to break the blank button.

The only way I've been able to do it is to release and push them out from the back.

did u unscrew a panel below the buttons..or can u reach from below without taking anything off... and wow that sounds filthy.

be careful reaching up there, theres a lot of sharp metal near those buttons. I sliced a vein open in my hand trying to reach up there. Wouldn't stop bleeding for 2 days!

ahhhhh me too! but mine occurred under the steering column...hurt like $@#%$^&Y^&U#$%#@@%%^*%^* bleed like crazy! funny thing is I didnt notice it at first and was handling my new battery and thought I had cracked the battery! red fluid was shooting everywhere!

I removed mine from the back. Installed my bass **** there too. I don't recall slicing my hand open though... The hardest part was getting the circuit board that the potentiometer is mounted on to squeeze into the back of the dash panel. Removed the outer housing of the control ****, obviously, and then had to shave down the board on both sides. Works great.

EDIT: You revived a thread from 6 years ago to say that??
