I bought my RX-8 a week ago in Irving, TX. This was one of the nicest car buying experience. This was a totally "no bullshit" dealer. I called him on the phone, He gave me the final price $700 under invoice for a Titanium GT MT/6 2005 model. It came out at $28652. I also had the Gerber $500 rebate. So my final price was $28152+TTL. I think I could not have gotten much better anywhere else, right?

The dealership was: Freeman Mazda, Irving, TX.

That sounds like a nice deal. TTL - Tax, Title and License - right?

No other charges, like documentation, advertising etc?

TTL is correct = Tax, title and registration. There was a $50 document fee, I forgot to mention.

That looks to be about the same deals available on the 04 models at this time last year, so you did well. In three months, it will be about $1000 cheaper then that, and so on. For this time frame on an 05, you did very very well. Congrats and enjoy.

Wow. Have prices for the 8 dropped lately? I got mine (2005 MT cloth seats with Sport package) in February at El Dorado Mazda in McKinney for around 27,400 out the door. I thought this was a good deal at the time, but now it seems like there's a lot better out there! Sigh...

Although I didn't have /wouldn't be eligble for the Gerber rebate. I guess that woulda taken it down to 26,900. It did include a $500 recent college grad rebate though.
