guys,
my 8 is just 4 months old. Recently, while washing the car I've found grease stains (like when water streaks down the door after a wash) under both door handles which are pretty hard to remove - anyone else get this? Never had this before with any other car...
cheers,
John

Hi John.
The first thing I thought of is that you regularly have people with dirty hands opening the doors leaving a build-up of grease that causes dirty streaks when the handles cop a flushing while washing the car. Do you notice the grease stains at other times??
Otherwise, have you checked to see if the handles have an excessive lube build-up (can't think why that would be)??
BTW - I notice you're a good NSW boy - you coming to the Nats? Please post on the NSW owners thread what you're doing. Thanks :)

you can clean it with grease & wax remover (you can get a small tin form supercheap/repco etc) and clean soft cloth.
wipe them clean, then give it a polish to restore the shine afterwards.

thanks Revolver and ezzy for your replies - no don't have people with dirty hands getting into the car and it's on both sides. I'll try and get it off with the grease remover and see how I go. Just wanted to see whether it was a common problem - doesn't seem to be.
cheers boys.

Actually it is a common problem. It occurs as a result of the car not being dried properly following washing.

Can't say I've had this problem....
