when you turn it on and off kinda like a clicking sound u can hear coming from under the hood? also makes this clicking sound every once in a while while ac is on..u cant hear it in the car just from outside or if your windows are rolled down.

it is the ac clutch engageing and disengageing.

it engages and disengages quite frequently. sometimes as much as a couple of seconds apart. i think what you are hearing is normal. though impossible to tell in print.
