View Full Version : Just Drove my brand new 8 from OH to MI!!!
gobluerx8 07-30-2005, 12:07 AM Hi, I just was so damn excited that I have this car now! I've been lusting over it for over 6 mths now and I finally have my TI Gray RX 8 touring pack. w/ navi! It is an 04 with only 257 miles on it (well now it has 600)! BRAND SPANKING NEW!!!!! Love the handling, engine, navi, gearbox, and most of all, how sexy this damn car is!!
I wanted to poke my head in and say hello. I'm in the A2 (Ann Arbor) area and haven't seen many 8's out here.
Oh yeah, she needs a name....are there any suggestions?
Johnnyma45 07-30-2005, 11:38 AM Welcome...careful with that 8 in aa, people there just don't give a crap how close they park to you. If you ever shoot up to Farmington look for a fellow Tit.Gray 8 going at least 20 above posted MPH...
RX8 PRINCESS 07-30-2005, 01:00 PM Hello, congrats on your 8. I live in A2 so who knows perhaps we will zoom past each other in the future.
gobluerx8 07-31-2005, 09:08 PM What color is your 8 RX8 Princess?
vegeta 08-01-2005, 10:50 AM Hey does this mean you have to change your screen name to "gotgrayrx8"?
Be careful driving in AA. I got a speeding ticket on the Broadway bridge a month after I got the car. I drive a sunlight silver and I go to AA fairly often.
and oh yea, I named mine Roxy
jefferrari 08-01-2005, 02:39 PM Congrat GoBlueRX8
I graduated in 03.
During my years in AA, I have been stopped many times by cops... not to mention thousand of packing ticket in South U.
As far as name, maybe Jessica (Merchant) or Jennie (Ritter)? or my favourite Carr..... lol
success07 08-01-2005, 02:43 PM How about Brutus?
Go Bucks! :D
RX8_Buckeye 08-01-2005, 03:07 PM Go BLOW! From a fellow SE MI RX-8 owner. ;) LOL.
GO BUCKS!!!!
gobluerx8 08-01-2005, 06:22 PM How did 2 nuts get on my thread?!?!?! You have to love a school who uses a acron as a mascot :D lol
Johnnyma45 08-01-2005, 11:02 PM I say we all race down M-14...Michigan vs. Ohio State. Screw football!!!
RX8 PRINCESS 08-02-2005, 07:46 AM Hi gobluerx8 . The color of my 8 is brilliant black.

Typical response from a rodent-lover. That's the best comeback you have after getting your arses handed to you 3 out of the last 4 years?
BTW: It's "an acorn", not "a acron", but I'll forgive that since I know the quality of education that scUM provides is sub-par.
J/K, it's all in good fun! :p

BRILLIANT!!!! I LIKE IT!!!
I'm heading up to Detroit this weekend. Any of you Meeshigan fans live around Rochester Hills? That's where my friend lives.
Johnnyma45 08-02-2005, 12:05 PM I'm in Farmington but my parents live in Rochester Hills. As luck would have it, I'm heading back on Saturday, so tell me what color yours is, and if I see one with an OH plate I'll start tailgating :)
EDIT: Stupid question, yellow won't be too hard to miss
RA-Eight 08-02-2005, 12:49 PM I love this! You know you have the greatest rivalry in football history, when the the debate carries on in a car forum!
How about Woody for a name?
GO BUCKS! :p

You gotta catch me first!!! :D
I love speeding in Michigan. You can do 80mph and not pass anyone, it's great!!!
Though the roads aren't the greatest and you can rattle a cavity loose in the process. :)

Though the roads aren't the greatest and you can rattle a cavity loose in the process. :)Tell me about it  . Anyhow, I believe there may still be 2 separate construction zones on I-75 once you get into Michigan. You won't be able to go anywhere close to 80 mph in these zones, and depending on what time you're traveling, expect some delays.
success07 08-02-2005, 03:07 PM Good lookin' out Buckeye.
I'm leaving around rush hour here so hopefully things will be better by the time I get up there.
My first stop is Pizza Papalis. Can't wait. Best za I've ever had.
Johnnyma45 08-02-2005, 03:37 PM The trick is knowing enough cops in the cities around here to speed on the roads rather than the highways. I-696, you can go damn well any speed you want. Yea, comin up I-75 is a joke...hope your wheels/tires are in good condition...
Head up to Rochester Brew House when you get to your friend's place. Pretty good beer, decent Happy Hour
gobluerx8 08-02-2005, 10:18 PM Does anyone know when all this construction is going to be finished? i'm getting sick to my stomach when I have to cruise I94 and I96 at 45mph.
