I have 7 year old twins. So when they ride in the back (not often) I'll open the vent windows.

Do they actually help with ventilating the car, in other words, making some sort of wind vacuum? I've noticed that the car is very aerodynamic, meaning that if you're hot on the inside, you ain't gettin' any air if you drop your windows & open the sunroof... :)

turn your AC to vent instead of recirculate, at speed the vent will have quite good airflow, works even better if you use AC with it :D

Sadly enough, I've never had them open. I actually forget that the open.

What do you mean "had them open" Can you open the back windows? Never knew that ;)

On a serious note, I have never used them since the first day when I just opened them to see how it worked.

My 4 year old twin girls love to play with them. I always have to make sure they are closed when I get home in caase it rains.

i open them when i have all the windows and the sunroof open on a nice night... maby 25% of the time i drive the car.

One night i did leave one of them open, cars in a garage so not much happened but it could have been worse.

i will also 2nd the fact that with just the windows and sunroof open, there isnt much air movement in the center of the car. i actualy like that, cuase it also means less windnoise.

Hardly ever, but my wife opens 'em any time she drives the car. I know that because she always forgets to close 'em :)

yeah, had mine open once - when I climbed in the back seat of the car (just to check things out, nothing else) a couple of days after buying it. Took me forever to get the little hicky popped in at the correct angle to hold them open (and I think I'm of average, or slightly above, intelligence). I would definitely use them more if they were power.

I broke my arm trying to open it while driving. Just kidding. But think there will be an aftermarket part to motorize this laborious process?

Constantly. I drive with all the wondows open unless it's raining or 90+degrees.

Never opened them...not once (and I am a button pusher). I even sat back there one evening with the stereo on and forgot that they were there, maybe I should try it sometime.

I wish they were electric like they were in my '74 RX4. They were great in getting more ventilation threw the car. Or was it in my '79 RX7........anyway it work good. I think I will try them tomorrow if its under 100 deg F. Its been HOT!

The '79 RX-7 did not have back windows, unless you modded the fixed side panes on the rear hatch glass.

My 7 year old routinely uses the rear window on her side and complains that it doesn't open far enough.

I think I'm going to have to finish the DIY automatic window actuators/regulators...someone just give me time to do it!

I even have the parts from the rear side windows on a 1991 dodge caravan :D
