While I am at the dealer getting my extra's put on, what TSB's should I bring up to get repaired before I have the problems?
I would rather be safe than sorry, so I am wondering if I should try to get the battery replaced for the sluggish starts that I have on hot days?
Are the dealerships giving new keys for the mysterious open trunks that happen every so often?
Would the "R" flash be a good idea?
I have a Shinka with a build date of 03/05. Any help/input is very much appreciated.

if your Shinka was built after 3/22/05 specifically then you're in luck. You may have the group 2 recall performed on your car (mainly consists of visual inpections and ECU flash update) and be in the clear. For us (my Shinka was made 11/04) we have to wait for parts as well as having to put up with possible hold-ups and such...
BTW if you can get a battery for free then go for it... Hopefully this and a new flash update should fix your car's symptoms. Go Shinka!

Looks like I might be, it was built 3/28/05. Is there anywhere that I can find the group 2 recall?

Awesome, thank you. I don't like the HOLD THIS VEHICLE...that is kinda scary. Now I don't want them to check...lol

the official recall campaign will not kick off until August per related thread. Until then it is pretty much busness as usual for 8s getting service done. Check your VIN against the range given on the recall campaign to doublecheck. I think if your car falls within group 2 then they will perform the procedure. If your car is with group 1 then they really cannot hold your car because there is no official recall yet until August (plausible deniability)

I will check it out, just wondering how long they would hold it.
