I went in for service around June 04 for the TSB on squealing brakes. I've noticed that my brakes are starting to squeal again even after the installation of the new brake pads. My 8 has approximately 17,000 miles on the ODO and I'm pretty easy when it comes to stopping.
Has anyone experienced the same issue?

Yup. Squeal came back after a month or so after the TSB service, though not nearly as bad as before. Now it only squeals at a very specific (and light) pedal pressure. I can live with it ;)
Then put it in reverse, after a couple of quick stops (backwards) my brakes spoted the noise
I've gone back to original pads, brake dust and all....but they feel better

mine do too..but they only did the front pads for me..the backs squell a lill depending on stoping speed adn how hard i am hitting the brakes.

I have the new pads installed under the warrenty, and they just started up again, have 32,235 miles on her..
My front are squelling under a light to medium pressure. but have to be going around 30-40 mph stop/slow down.

My RX8 does the same. I even returned to the dealer for the brake inspection more than 2 times  , they machined the rotors and replaced the rear pads. However, the squelling came back up on my way home  . My 8 has less than 10k miles on it.

The original brakes on my early-delivery 8 squealed. The warranty replacement pads also squealled a bit, but considerably less. Lately, not at all. That may have something to do with spending two days at speed at the Virginia International track. I recommend it.

Brake very hard a few times consecutively to seat the pads. The squeal should go away for a day or for a few days. When it comes back do a few more hard brakings. This is like the bedding procedure discussed elsewhere. For more permanent solution of bedding the brakes, you will need to complete the whole procedure at least 2 times and change your braking habits a little (brake a little harder) to maintain enough "transfer layer" on your rotors.
Unfortunately semimetallic brake pads inherently squeal due to their high performance nature.
