Shouldn't the BOV open everytime I lift off the gas?

I though it should open everytime i lift off the gas. I installed the HKS SSQV and most of the times it does not open when lifting off the gas. The car sounds like it did before when i had no BOV installed. My question is should it open everytime i lift the gas on boost?? Maybe it is a "high boost BOV" and is setup to open at high boost, if that is the case, is there any adjust i got to do in order to make it open at lower boost? I know it has a screw behind it that adjust the spring but first I want the opinion of people who has worked with this BOV.
Thanks

you might have it set to hard, try loosening it via the adjustment screw.

My BOv goes off everytime my boost gauge goes above 0. The higher above 0 I go, the better the BOV sounds though.
