Does anyone else take BART to work? I was so worried that they were going to strike today. I hate driving to work, because there is always traffic heading home from downtown Oakland, plus parking is an arm and a leg. I had been getting up every two hours to check on the progress, and they finally came to a tentative agreement around 3am this morning. Anyway, just thought I'd share that with everyone in case they hadn't already heard the good news.

Sorry, I should have clarified that. Its Bay Area Rapid Transit. I was too young to remember the effects of the strike in 97, but a lot of people I work with said it was really bad, and I've seen how gridlocked the entire Bay Area was on the news recap.

yea, i remember, people that headed to san francisco had to wake up a go to work 2-3 hours earlier. So people would actually start their commute from 4 in the morning til the rest of the day. Crazy!

I haven't been following up on this bart thing too much, but why were they going on strike again?

I'm thankful that they came to an agreement as I take BART to commute to work from SF to Oakland City Center every day. I certainly didn't want to take my weekend warrior (rx8) through congested traffic.
