i have install the tein type flex and the control EDFC. and sway bars Tanabe
the feling is exelent and the handling is extrem.
the edfc is perfect for be at the top in eny circustance.

im very hapy is one of the products i install ho guiveme the more satisfacion.

Can you make it 32... my friend with Tein Flex on his R34 said so.

How much lower you are now... 20mm?

smrx8, Tein Flex has a set of chamber and toe setting for the suspension. I downloaded the menu from their site and very impressed by it.

I know i have them on my car :D from what teins said your not allowed to go pass 16 or they will not last and break.they only annoying thing about these coilovers is they squeak a little.

Well with EDFC I think it is hard to go over the 16 settings. It is so much fun driving the R34 with soft and then firm setting.

i have instal the silencer ruber and dont crack, just wen i have same torsion on the parking.


for the set i did have same problems, on the rear the right wheel with the same seting of the left it was more high.

i did on first -45mm on front and 35mm rear but i have problems every where.
so i have at the moment -30 front -20 rear approximately.

 

i hav the tein type flex with edfc too and i would deff recomend them. my car handles really good.

i've installed the Tein Flex coilover kit yesterday
now i know how its feel like and why everbody recommend it

 

I'm running the same setup for the most part, except i'm running only a tanage rear sway bar with the tein flex. The handling is amazing, although since i'm only running the rear sway bar, the back comes out much easier, it's fun learning to control it though.

 

Just FYI on the Flex with EDFC, you do have 32 damper settings as the EDFC allows you to use half settings in between the 16. So you'd have 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, etc. The range is still the same as what you have without the EDFC, you can just fine-tune it a bit more.

And for those that asked about where to get certain items in this thread, we sell Tanabe sways for $330 for the pair ($165 each), and have Tein Flex coilovers for $1425. The Tanabe front bars are on backorder though I expect to have one in stock within two weeks. The rear we have one of ready to go. Tein Flex are readily available, and would ship within 2-4 days.

 

Sorry to resurect an old thread, but I have a quick question.

I just got mine in yesterday, they are not on the car just yet. But looking at them, the shock adjustment **** actually clicked 32 times. Does that mean that with out the EDFC, there is also 1/2 and full increments of adjustment?

 

I was told that... I am also waiting for my order.

Look through the manual. My friend with the GTR said there is special configuration in his EDFC that you can do 1/2 adjustments.

 

i"ll need some advice from your, about tein suspenssion i have a 3 rotor rx8 an it keep the stock suspenssion and work not bad but i'll in consideretion to switch for tein suspenssion, what's you thing? And EDFC how works?

I ran my car at Road Atlanta yesterday with the Tein Flex and the difference from the last time out with stock suspension was very noticeable. They are responsive to changes and make the car better at turn in and steady state. I keep them set full soft for the street.

Another member on the forum, Phlash, also runs full soft for everyday use. I am trying to learn as much as I can before they get installed, by none other than Marietta 8.

But what I want to know, is the adjustment dial also adjusting in 1/2 increments. I looked through the manual again, and did not find anything. They recommend setting them to 8 clicks down from full hard, but that would obviously be for track purposes, since the first sentence of the manual is about "off road use only".
