i went to a few local shop about getting my rims powder coated. no one wants to touch them because they dont want to mess up the lip. they all said if i mask them my self they might take a second look at them. my question is what kind of maskig should i use. i need to get them powder coated before july to make it for the show

Do you want to powder coat the WHOLE rim one color or coat the rim one color and the lip another? If you want to get the whole rim one color I do not understand the concern of the shop. I had no issues getting mine coated and the dealership had no problems mounting the tires.

no i wanted to leave the lip chrome and the face powder coated gold. the thing is i originally ordered gold racing hart cx. but the place i purchased it took 8 months. and they still didnt have the color i wanted. so i just said to give me the rim and i get it coated my self.
