View Full Version : Shinka Dyno'ed... CGRX8 06-06-2005, 11:10 AM ...My local performance shop guy just called me and said that they just got their DYNo machine and had someone up there in a SHinka RX8 dyno 205 to the wheels. shinka213, was this you? brothervoodoo 06-06-2005, 11:47 AM That's a nice number!!! Most dyno 20-30 hp less... XDEEDUBBX 06-06-2005, 11:50 AM what kind of dyno did u use? Moostafa29 06-06-2005, 11:51 AM Thats what we all SHOULD be dynoing at, if we actually had the advertised hp. slllygrl10 06-06-2005, 11:53 AM O oh so shinka is faster? ok guys trade in urs lol Moostafa29 06-06-2005, 11:58 AM Get the shinka 6sp instead of red when you trade yours in Sillygrl. dmp 06-06-2005, 12:12 PM We had a sunlight silver dyno at 206whp :) CGRX8 06-06-2005, 01:01 PM I would like to know the details myself. shinka213 is the only shinka I know of in my area. Razz1 06-06-2005, 11:58 PM I drove a new Shinka and it was a dog compared to mine. So Shinka doesn't have more power. Each car is different. dmp 06-07-2005, 12:05 AM I drove a new Shinka and it was a dog compared to mine. So Shinka doesn't have more power. Each car is different. Right - it's entirely possible that this car is making the HP it's 'supposed' to, or 'promised to' make; This car and the Silver which dyno'd with us. the OTHER 98% of us should be beating down Mazda's door for answers. VikingDJ 06-07-2005, 12:07 AM Damn. 205whp. I know my car does not have anywhere near that. Mine feels about the average 180whp range. I can't believe the discrepency between RX8s. We've also seen ones dyno'ing at only 170whp. Xyntax 06-07-2005, 12:22 AM Could it be possible that the discrepancy is due to one simple equipment in our cars such as MAF sensor or 02 sensor? I wish someone would do careful comparison between stock cars' parts: one with 180HP and the other 205HP. dmp 06-07-2005, 08:21 AM Could it be possible that the discrepancy is due to one simple equipment in our cars such as MAF sensor or 02 sensor? I wish someone would do careful comparison between stock cars' parts: one with 180HP and the other 205HP. I'm hoping to do some experiments at the next dyno day - but was thinking it'd be an ecu-swap. Frankly, the maf swap would be easy too... :) army_rx8 06-07-2005, 08:33 AM sweet enquiring minds want to know:D |
