09Factor 06-02-2005, 10:27 PM I have been through this kind of thing before, but it was a girlfriend inside instead of me.
were they driving drunk or was the other party drunk?
Some People just don't understand that their actions affect others...
A singe drink or a keg you shouldn't drive.
TR1GGERx1 06-02-2005, 10:28 PM ouch. i feel bad for the car. can i part it out and get somethings? haha
Mikelikes2drive 06-02-2005, 10:57 PM ^ those wheels look intact... pretty sure u can salvage 2 or 3 of em... could make a couple hundred bucks...
which corner was this car at? jp jp
but that is truly sad... and ppl should always have a DD... stupid ppl! its ok if stupid ppl hurt stupid ppl but it really gets me mad when stupid ppl hurt innocent ppl!
formatsee 06-02-2005, 10:59 PM look staged..
vIce^gRip 06-02-2005, 10:59 PM Those images make me want to drink a pint of Absinth, get in my 8 and go speeding after the Green Faries!!! :)
NgoRX8 06-02-2005, 11:02 PM awful sight.
This is why we all must be careful... So our cars are safe.
zoomzoom_8 06-02-2005, 11:37 PM I am not downgrading the importance of not drinking and driving, i never do it and always try to make sure no one around me does it, my pet peeve. But do they really write "biohazard" on cars, i take it because of blood and the like? I was on a volunteer fire dept for a couple of years and went to a few bad wrecks with blood all inside the vechicle, pieces of hair and flesh on the road, etc and never did the paramedics ever write biohazard on the car. Do they do that up north? I am in the south and maybe we just do things differently. But i do agree, bloody cars are a biohazard.
MassiveAttack 06-02-2005, 11:44 PM Betcha the engine still runs...
Seriously, though--Nobody will remember this when they're drunk. I remember when they did this stuff at my high school, and the lasting impact to me and anyone else I knew was minimal. Not that I was ever much of a drunk driver, but the sight of a smashed-up car just doesn't stick for that long.
Zoomzoom8,
I think it is just a liability thing since I am sure this is a state/local sponsored program to take a smashed up car to the schools (Assuming that is what this is, since it is common here). As you said, it is obviously a biohazard, dried blood & other body tissue/fluid & such.
----
And yes, that is a sad sight to see the 8 in that shape. I admit that I have done some VERY VERY stupid things in my time involving vehicles & alcohol, all of which was back in my early 20's,and involved motorcycles, college, and getting back to school on time. I lost my sister in a car acciddent, not involving alcohol at all, and I immediately chose to not put my parents through another death of their child.
<edit> It does look like they had to peel the roof back, so perhaps it was more serious than it looks, as the passenger compartment does not look to be compromised too badly, but I am not a specialist, so... </edt>
RX8 XTC 06-03-2005, 06:58 AM i hop ppl did live .. by the look of it i think a truck run into him from the driver side LIFTED truck and slamd him to the POLL ! just what i think.
Malloy 06-03-2005, 09:22 AM I saw it yesterday on my way to visit the 'rents. This car was parked in front of their local high school (Upper Darby High School -Philadelphia suburb) Keenan and Herbys are the big body/tow shops in the area, and they worked with the school, State Farm, MADD and SADD on this deal. Dunno if similar displays are in front of ther schools. My parents think the passengers died.
(I personally never heard about it, as I do not live in the immediate area)
re. 'biohazard'...I think it was put on there for emphasis. I wanted to snoop a bit inside, but that simple statment made me step back. For the record, my dad has been a body shop guy his whole life, and he never wrote such like that on the cars. They just cover it with a tarp and let the insurance companies deal with. Ive seen some gross stuff at his shop....ugh.
cas2themoe 06-03-2005, 09:53 AM I don't know about 4 people being in that car. Maybe the driver could have died. But the passenger side doesn't look bad. I mean it looks bad but not to the point were they could have died. Maybe they weren't wearing their seat belts or maybe it is a staged car.

looking bad has nothing to do with how a car held up or how many people got hurt- I've seen cars that looked like they had barely a scratch, but becasue they were hit just the perfect way, someone died. And don't forget that WRX that was crunched under 2 tractor trailers- he has almost nothing other than a few bumps. In the end, we'll never know unless someone finds the story.
Nemesis8 06-03-2005, 11:23 AM Looks like it rolled...

Your very right. But I still dont think they were wearing seats belts if they all happened to die.
....and it's 'silver' :(My thoughts exactly...
Raz0rama 06-03-2005, 12:06 PM Talk about bringing it home, thats less than a mile from where I live. Those pictures make me cringe.
TPNova1 06-04-2005, 02:18 PM I too saw this right on the main road leading up to where I work, and I go by this high school a few times/day. I work for the body shops in the area too, so decided to ask KEENAN EAST in Cifton heights how this happened. He said he would tell me the full storey next time I stop by which is once a week at least. But for now he just said that there were 4 occupants inside and all were killed. Something like this can't really be just a hoax, but I read the paper every day and there is no way I would have missed this whenever it happened...so we'll see, I'll get to the bottom of it and find out what happened, cause I know we're all curious to know how such a thing would happen. -Tim
aireyc 06-05-2005, 01:59 AM Sucks for the 8 and people inside, yet I don't see how all 4 could have died since the body isn't that messed up. Unless they were thrown from the car I don't get it. Also, the "it's" on the sign is incorrect, it should just say "its four occupants."
