Should I expect to see the RX-8 on display at Mazda Rev-It Up this coming weekend? Anyone have tips for the AutoX course? I've done BMW CCA AutoX School a few months ago. I'm sure my M3 will handle differently compared to the Mazda6.

I had read somewhere that other events DID have an RX-8 on hand to look at. Let's hope they do! Knowing Mazda, they'll probably call and have my car ready to deliver on Saturday, just before I should head south to get to this event. I'm on Sunday, 7AM was the only spot left when I signed.

Haven't had a chance to do this with a car since college, but since it's their wheels, we can all go like hell!

Good luck.. see you there!

As a pre-order customer, my dealer got me a pass to the VIP day. I was allowed to drive but my times didn't count. Fair warning, all the Mazda6's are automatic to level the playing field. I did not like that, but since it didn't cost me anything I couldn't complain. If you are competing, and can try to strong arm your dealer, you will have a significant advantage over others. I turned in a 460ish score by my second lap. If I had 2 more a day or to later, I know I could have improved it. My advice to you is go through the different classes as much as you can (but at 7:00 am you are pretty much out of luck). When you go though the individual classes push the car beyond what you think are it's limits. You will be more surprised by how much you underestimate it.

Good Luck and Have fun.

Am not sure
I don't understand.. how can my dealer help me win? Why would I need to stronharm him? And about what? And what is VIP day? No one has ever mentioned that!

Thanks.
