Question Sounds like emergency brake is sticking

Every morning when I put my car in reverse it sounds/feels like my emergency brake is sticking. Makes a noise like something is sticking and I can feel the car release itself, b/c it doesn't reverse smoothly like a normal car should. Any ideas? I brought it into dealership and they told me they couldn't duplicate it. They lubed some stuff. Of course they couldn't duplicate, only happens every morning(after it sits overnight(yes I told them this)). Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks

It's either the ABS self test you are hearing, or your disc brakes are wet and slightly rusted until you use them to scrap the disc clean. The ABS self test is a clunking sound, and the rust rotors are a popping sound when you break them loose.

If it happens before you start moving, it's a the pads rusting to the disc. If it happens at about 6mph (your speedo does work in reverse), then it's the ABS self test. This test only happens once per drive cycle and will occur whether you are going fwd or backward. To reproduce it, turn the key off and re-start the car again.
