hey this might sound dumb and im not actually sure if this is with all cars but i noticed that the back of my car was lower then the front and i just measured with my fingers and like i could fit only 2 of my fingers in between the tires and the car in the back and i could fit 4 in the front so i was just curious is that with all rx8s?

you're assuming they built the body with equal distance from the fender lip to the tire

the only reason why i was curious was because lately when im inside the car and driving it seems like its gotten a louder humming type sound in the back and i thoguht taht maybe i just never noticed it b4 but then all my friends have mentioned it to me as well so thats y i was wondering if it was maybe a possibility because it somehow got lower in the back

Rear wheels only go round, so don't need the same clearence as the fronts which steer as well.

The humming could be caused by several things: a wheel could be unbalanced, a rim could be minorly bent, or the tires could be worn in an uneven fashion. I believe I also read here that the tires that come stock get very loud as they wear down - some said at like 12000 miles or so. I bought mine used and they haven't increased in noise level yet, but I did have a minorly bent rear rim that caused a vibration especially noticable during braking. I'm getting a new rim soon - gonna keep the old one as a spare.

thanx for the info guys found out that my right rear rim was a lil bent i didnt even know.... the noises started after i got my car back from the tire shop getting my tires rotated so maybe they had something to do with it.. hmmm oh well regardless i ordered a new rim so that hsould be coming soon =)
