I have been having tuning issues with my Greddy turbo and have recently been reading some threads on LTF and STF Trim. My CANSCAN shows STF at 0% and LTF at -20%. I think that means that the Mazda ecu is removing 20% fuel. Is that correct? Does anyone have any suggestion as to where to start looking for the possible cause of the problem. TIA

The fuel trim is tripped because the turbo map is adding fuel to what should be closed loop areas. Like zoom said...reset the PCM. Probably often......otherwise your lower level boosted areas will lean out.

 

Is there an easier way to do this then removing the battery terminal so I don't have to loose radio presets all the time?

 

Does anyone know what steps i can take to try and fix this for the long term? Perhaps some suggestions as to how i should tune my emanage to try and correct this.

 

The problem is the PCM is in closed loop in areas that you need extra fuel. Maybe talk to Jeff (Mazdamaniac)...he has more experience than most on the tuning side with the turbos

 

Contact Greddy, there should be a way to lower the rpm where the closed loop cheat is operating at. Basically just send the ecu into closed loop sooner in the rpm band.
