TPMS blinking after new wheel install,, wth??

I just finished installing my new rims (racing hart type CX) which i believe is
not TPMS compatible. On the way back home from my dad's garage, i notice the
TPMS light come on and start blinking. Anyone with aftermaket wheels have experienced this? and what should I do to make this go away?

Did the installer put the sensors in the wheels?

I've had some issues with the sensor. The tire is leaking air through the value. I've had to keep taking it back to get it fixed b/c it's only one sensor that's having problems. I heard you had to reset something if you put on aftermarket rims that aren't TPMS compatible.

If you didnt put the TPMS in your new tires after 15 mins or so your light will flash. Now if you did and its flashing you got an airleak most likely. I also had a valve stem loose when I put on new tires and it came on.

Nothing for nothing, but what sensor are you guys talking about. I know about the TPMS sensors, but I just changed my rims and tires this weekend and did nothing with any sensors. I simply took the stock rims off and put the new ones on. Did I miss something? BTW, no lights came on the dash for me.

I believe cars from canada dont have this option
but still the tpms sensor is located on each wheel (inside tire)connected to the air valve.
i think its a 2inch box(sensor) there should be pixs of it on the forum.

I spoke too soon......AHHHHH...The first day after I put the new rims on, I only drove it for about 5 mins. I was on my way home from work today and after 15 mins of driving, tada, the TPMS light is flashing at me. I really don't mind it but is it dangerous to drive with it flashing? Any help will greatly be appreciated. Btw, I think my rims were made to take the sensors, any help on installing them will greatly appreciated. I think I gotta buy them from tirerack...? Is there maybe a fuse that powers the TPMS? Anyway, is it unsafe to drive with the light blinking? In the MAzda book, it says that the system found a malfunction and it is really unsafe to drive the car because of this.? I has STS mount and balanced the tires and never thought to tell them about the wheel sensors. Oh well.

Thanx

Why? You either make sure the sensors are installed and the system works, or they don't get installed and you deal with the warning light.

BTW, the TPMS system does not at all alter the DSC or TCS in any way. My TPMS light has been blinking ever since I changed my rims. Anway, there were debates on whether or not the blinking effects the system and the DCS and TCS, just to verify, I was waiting to make a left hand turn and had an big opening so I put the car into 1st and rev to about 4K and dumped the clutch, the DCS and TCS stopped the wheels from spinning and straighten the car out as it would normally do. So all in all, my worries are over with the TPMS screwing up my system. Hopefully this helps some people with similar questions.
