Hey everyone,

Anyone know of a good place to get an MS wing installed in So Cal?

Any connections / hook ups at nearby dealerships? ;)
What can I expect to pay for such an install? (no spoiler on it now)

I am ordering a wing from Rosenthall but I am not very mechanically inclined and I'd rather have someone do it for me then mess it all up myself.

any suggestions would be really helpful... Thanks

If you have the stock Mazda wing the bolts line up perfectly.. just bolt it on ;)

No spoiler of any kind on it now, that's why I want to have it done by someone.

Drilling holes into a new RX8 would bring tears to my eyes...

It is quite easy to install the spoiler as the kit has paper template to put on trunk. All you
need is a center punch and a good drill. Remember, if you drink dont drill.

I wouldn't have to sand or touch up any paint or anything crazy?

Just drill a few holes, that's it?

Just a punch to get i "dent" and then place the drill bit on top of that and slowly work the speed of the drill up from slow to fast. being its a bolt on product paint wont need to be sanded. You can even use double sided sticky foam around the holes to give em a semi seal.

VERY COOL! I had read some thread around here somwhere about how the guy was freaking out about having to touch up the paint so it gave me a bit of a scare.

On a side note: I wasn't really sold on the MS wing at first but the more and more I look at it...SEXY!! :D

Yea like Wankit said if it does come with the templates you shouldnt have too much of a problem just start the bit at a slow speed and work it up. And make sure you start with a punch cause if that bit bounces on you then youll need the paint. But being your drilling slow the paint should chip and your drilling into metal so you dont have to worry about the material cracking like with CF of FG.

Its always a good idea to use some touch up paint around the drilled area. The instructions will even tell you to do that. But, if not, the kits comes with a nice gasket and some foam pieces which should do the job. There are only two holes to drill on each side, pretty damn easy. Darn near impossible to mess it up since it comes with the templates. Plus, if you do make any mistakes, the bottom portion of the wing will cover it up nicely. Dont waste your money, do it yourself, and then spend the saved cash on some fender strakes :)

Razz, just out of curiosity: Where did you get your wing from? Is it a replica or did you order the MS from a dealer?

Razz doesn't have an MS wing...he was just offering to help you I believe. I got mine through RX8garage.net.

I see Razz about twice a month...and just last week he did not have a MS wing. He does have the stock OEM wing though.

Hmm, maybe he installed the OEM wing with his nephew...

Who knows, I'm way confused now. :D

As long as he can help me install my MS wing, it's all good.
