Has anyone dealt with Wheels Boutique? I placed an order with them back on April 1 which is the same day they charged my credit card. I have been getting the run-around with them for about a month now. Finally last week they provided me a tracking number but UPS is telling me they were never called to pick up the wheels. Wheels boutique is telling me the item went out last week. It has been a month long battle with them...all I want is the wheels I ordered or my credit charge card to be credited. The bill will be coming soon but I have no merchandise. I am thinking of contacting the BBB.

Anyone had a similar experience with them?

I filed a complaint with the BBB last night against them. Today I called them again. Wheels Boutique is claiming they have a ups drivers signature on file showing the wheels were picked up. ups is still saying they dont have them. They told me they are going to start an investigation with ups but i dont know if i really believe them since this has been an ongoing problem. They told me that if the wheels are lost then they are going to ship me out another set. i just dont want to have to wait another month for them......

Was your credit card charged immediately? Did you receive any type of invoice? Make sure you document everything. I really hope that you have a better experience than i am having with them.

unfortunately i did try that...the credit card company told me that the company already has their money, the only thing i can do now is file a billing disupute against them. This has been such a huge hassle and doesn't even seem worth it anymore :mad:

smrx8, how about your situation, you said you were getting your rims/tires in about 1 -2 weeks? Maybe his will arrive?

they had to order my color i did not want mercury silver which they had in stock so it will take longer they said 2 weeks from japan will find out if it true and they said total about 3 weeks . the most. i payed through paypal so if theres any problem ill report it to paypal.

wow, from japan!? what kind of wheels did you get? they had to ship mine from their "warehouse" in california because they did not have them in stock. keep me updated on the status of your order...im curious to see if everything goes smoothly for you.

volk challenge in silver you got me a little scare now i think i might call them tommorow and switch my rims to axis hiro and hope they dont tell me there not in stock i send them 3300 via paypal and getting a bit nervous of waiting 3 weeks.

Velocityrx8 i looked them up on the bbb site and it says the have a good record and reply and fix anything left through them.i guess thats a good sign they been in buisness since 2000

Yeah, I looked them up on there too...I hope they really are working to fix my situation. I am now going to try to get them to refund my money on the credit card until the "missing" wheels are found...wish me luck with that one! they are really quick to take the money, we'll see how fast they give it back.

I talked to Wheeloptions Vic (CA distributor for Mackin).. and he said that for Silver SF Challenge it's another 2 months at least.. there isn't enough order for them to ship over to the states yet. That's why I'm just going to get the Mercury Silver SF.

well i just filed a billing dispute with my credit card company against wheels boutique. im tired of fighting with them myself. it has been 30 days and i should not have to pay for missing wheels. let the credit card company handle it.

I just talked to them again yesterday and garanteed them in 3 weeks or less .

I have not heard anything from wheels boutique for days...i received a letter from the BBB saying that they have contacted the company with my complaint. i also filed a dispute with the credit card company...just waiting to hear from somebody...

just an update....36 days have passed since i placed my order and i still haven't heard from wheels boutique and still have NO wheels....

MVP is run by a guy named Dusty. he's a supra guy, that's why you'll notice all these things for the supra. but he's a volk dealer and can get anything you want. even wheels you don't see on the site.

Gruppe-s is about the same.

If you decide to go with the above option, Vic is a Volk Dealer too.. and he gets the shipment faster than anyone in California since he's pretty close to Mackin HQ. :P

Called them up today and told me the rims will be here by thursday or wensday ill let you know if there true to there word.

well i just checked my credit card statement online and the wheels charge has been removed. woohoo! i dont know exactly what happened between the credit card company and the wheel place...but it only took them a week to remove the charge. ill call the card company tomorrow to see what wheels boutique had to say....looks like it was a shady deal to me...because if they actually were going to ship the wheels i would have had them weeks ago and i wouldnt have had to go through all this.

now i have to start looking for new wheels from a reputable place....

I got mine today from Vic... no problem, no hassle. Just a long butt wait. I asked him if there were any Silver SF challenge at Mackin.. he said none with the latest shipment for our RX-8.

So either WB is BSing Smrx8 about the status of SILVER (not Mercury) or they are getting them from another vendor and not directly from Mackin.

Well guys lookes like these guys are bull shitting me too .i called them to get a tracking number and the guy who answered said he didnt have one or new of anything i said who knows he just click the line on me and send me to a vice mail of a guy from shipping .I guess its not ment to be i will report it to paypal if i dont get a tracking number by tommorow i want a turbo anyways.So maybe things happened for a reason.

smrx8, try to get the money back ASAP, they are having some serious issues over there... I've seen other forums on the EVO and 350z sites that have said WB is screwing them too. Maybe they are going bankrupt?

I knew it was a bit suspicious since the price of the SF was a bit lower than even Wheeloptions Vic gives out, and they WILL beat any price. Also the fact that they said Silver is available, and it's not... Mercury Silver ya, and Gun Metal. Even Black coated, but not Silver on Silver.

Clarification... the Silver/Silver option can be bought, but as of right now, none of them came in the recent shipment from Japan for our cars... +40- +42 offset 19"s is a bit wacky, so they can't make them until a bunch of orders for them comes in. :P

smrx8 that sucks so bad...definitely report it immediately to paypal otherwise wheels boutique will drag it out as long as they can. everytime they transferred me to the shipping dept all i ever got was a voice mail too. this happened several times. definitely report them...they need to be shut down. if you do decide to wait for a tracking number...make sure it is real. when they finally gave me one it was never updated even though they claimed the wheels were picked up by ups. when i talked to ups they said they were never asked to pick them up. Start the process of getting your money back now or else you will be waiting for a month like me.

Well just finished reporting them to paypal .i hope i didnt jump the ship i would feel really bad.

Dam not even 20 minutes after i report them and i got 4 calls from them to bad i missed them i was in the shower.

Nope he said he would give me a refund yesterday but didnt happen.

keep on them till you get that money back...the more people i talk to the more horror stories i hear about that place...seems like just about everybody has had a bad experience with them.
