I'm finding that I have to manually disengage the 8's turn signal after making a turn more often than my other vehicles. These aren't always the big sweeping turns either, I'm guessing it's due to the 8's more responsive (quicker) steering. Anyone else out there have to do this too? I guess it's in preperation for when I'm older and I can leave the turn signal on for miles on end before I notice.

Dont use them at all and you wont have that problem.

I'm not certain why you are manually disengaging them unless you are making 5 degree turns ALL the time. Usually when I change lanes I'll need to disengage it manually, but when making normal turns, there's no problem.

 

Then he would be driving like he was in Georgia. I swear it is illegal here to use turn signals.

 

Thinking a little more on this...it happens more often when making left turns at intersections across divided highways. Guess it probably is those sweeping turns and the way I take them. Still my other vehicles don't seem to do this. Thanks, it looks like it's just me.

Hmmm ... that's really weird that your turn doesn't disengage that early. I did a test today at my gym parking lot. The signal disengaged roughly with a 45degree turn of the steering wheel (for those of you that forgot math, there is 360degrees in a circle). So about an 1/8th of a full turn is sufficient to disengage mine.

 

I notice this, or should I say my wife noticed this for me. Seems variable, but I can definitely repeat it on a right turn off my local rotary, maybe a 60-70 degree turn...just doesn't click off...weird.
