Foose Wheels

Hey been a while since ive posted, but after 11000 miles its time to get new tires so i decided it would be the best time to change out the wheels, which i had been planning on doing for 6 months. Now i am looking at a new chip foose while called the Black Speedster. It comes in sizes 19x8.5, 19x9.5, 12x10, 19x11. What size fits the rx-8? I am really interested in these wheels. Here is a link to a picture of the wheels: http://www.chipfoose.com/speedster_black.aspx Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated. Its on my 04 black 8. Also can anyone recommend some good performance tires? Thanks!

11,000 miles and you need new tires?

anyway, those wheels are very sharp looking. there's no mention of offsets, but you could definitely get away with 19x8.5 in the front and 19x9.5 in the rear. Your offsets can be in the 45-38mm range without too much trouble.

as for tires, i'm no expert but if you want cheap, long lasting and quiet tires, check out nitto 555. they're not great track tires, but good for every day driving. in the same catergory are toyo proxes. they'll definitely last longer than 11,000 miles.

good luck and don't forget to post pics when you install them.

yup, you might want to check out www.budnik.com if you like billet wheels as well, they have some sweet stuff, as for me, as soon as I have enough $ I'm going with a set from www.ccwheel.com

Yep...he is the overhauler. Some of his designs are amazing. Nice and subtle. Usually not too dramatic, but they really make a difference.

Amen to that, this guy rocks. These guys really do know what they're doing. Not like that crap "pimp my ride." When overhaulin comes on tv I make it a point to watch.
Foose rules. :p

^^ditto, they do the WHOLE car, not just the fluffy inside-outside. I saw the Lance Armstrong GTO in person earlier this year and spoke to some of the employee's who worked on it from the body shop that helped out and they said they maybe got about 12 hours of sleep that week, the car was absolutely stunning in person, especially the bike rack they built for it, looked factory.

Amen to TiVo too....if you're in a hurry you watch the first 5 minutes and get a feel for what they are doing and then FF to the very end for the unveiling...3 Overhaulin shows in an hour: PRICELESS.

Does anyone have a picture with Foose Speedster wheels on their RX-8? I'm interested in this wheel too.

bah foose's are for hot rods and muscle cars, id go with some lightweight forged japanese racing wheels. but those ones do look pretty hot, 20's a bit too much though 18 or 19 would be best.

Can't believe you guys like those ... yuk. They look heavy as hell, and like they should be in Dub magazine, not on a RX-8.
